Our Hostel

 

Global Village provides comfortable, unique Backpackers' accommodation to world travellers of all nationalities. We enjoy a beautiful riverside setting, just a two minute drive (or 10 minute walk) from the centre of town, and a two minute drive also to our rugged west coast beach (famous for spectacular sunsets).

Our rooms come fully made up with fresh linen and cozy duvets. We have doubles, twins, and single rooms as well as shared dormitories available. All of our rooms are beautifully decorated with a Global theme. Our well-equipped, spacious kitchen is available for your use all day, as is the large Africa Lounge. We also have a separate TV/Video lounge. There is also safe, off-street parking for your vehicles.
Greymouth's New World supermarket is just 400m from our doorstep, and we have our own mini-supermarket for those arriving late. Our well-equipped kitchen, comfortable lounges, and bathroom facilities are shared by all our guests.

Our showers are always hot, the kitchen is always clean, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are quiet and spacious, you can always count on good company and a great atmosphere. Global Village is a place that will inspire you to travel more.

We, the owners and managers, at Global Village have many years' experience in the world of backpacker hostels, and we are still serious travellers ourselves.
